RATES
Square Inch Price
I charge 2 cents per square inch for all designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .02 = $96.00

My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.
Batting
I use and stock my favorite Warm and Natural and Warm and White batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend, 100% cotton, and 100% poly. Special orders of batting are available, if there is one that you'd like for your quilt, just ask! If you want to supply your own high-quality batting, you can certainly do that as well. Just check the box on the request form and send it with your quilt top.
Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch.
For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.
65" of 100% cotton white @ $0.40/in = $26.00
65" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.33/in = $21.45
65" of 100% poly @ $0.26/in = $16.90
Thread
I use mainly Aurifil and So Fine threads, and there aren't any extra fees for thread use.  It's included in your square inch price.Â
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. Â I will match the thread on the top and on the backing of the quilt. If you have a special request for thread color, let me know!
NEED A BACKING FABRIC?
I stock several colors of wide 100% cotton backing fabric. I'd love to help you choose a suitable backing for your quilt top and it will be waiting here when your quilt top arrives!
Shipping
Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in South Carolina, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.
Other Costs
As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. I'm required by the State of South Carolina to collect a 7% sales tax on the retail items, such as batting and backing fabric. Quilting services, shipping, and any design/pantograph fees are not subject to sales tax if outside SC.
